“Being able to be in person makes me a better learner. Getting to know one another and having an increased sense of trust make for lasting relationships.”

“The simulations with the actors were a challenging and really great opportunity to practice the skills we have been talking about – I liked the mix of games and presentations – kept it fun!”

“Honestly, all of it! I walked away from the onsite with so much more than I anticipated. It was invigorating and really reinforced all of the concepts we have learned along the way.”

“I am so excited about the onsite, The material that I learned was timely and could be applied to my day to day life, not only my professional career.”

“Being in an online degree program, there is a disconnect when interacting with my peers. I believe being on-site created a bond that can never be broken; it was the glue that will hold us together for life.”

“Working with my classmates, the capstone presentations, and the feedback from them. I enjoyed the one-on-one time with the faculty and the feedback from Ed and Seb. Honestly, I expected a great week, but wonderful and enlightening are better words.”

“Where to begin!? The camaraderie, laughter, tears, connection, depth, and ease of the last three days exceeded any expectations. I felt engaged and focused the whole time. It can be hard for me to engage so deeply for long periods of time without breaks and I felt the mixture of presentations and hands-on learning created a space for continued engagement.”

“Connecting with fellow cohorts and staff was monumental.”

“Being in-person with my classmates and the faculty gave me a more complete picture and context as to who they are as individuals and leaders. I learned so much from our conversations. I was inspired, lifted up, and forever changed by them.”

“I enjoyed the connections we built in a truly psychologically safe environment. Even though the capstone presentations were nerve-wracking, it was helpful to have that opportunity to practice presentation skills and gain valuable feedback. “I liked the pace of things- it never felt like an overload of lessons. I enjoyed the different games/activities as well- it’s easy to remember those and connect them to what we learned.”

“Everything…”

“The time spent on emotions, introspection and mindfulness were invaluable to me. I so appreciate the cohort for being so open that we can learn from each other. This has been a life changing journey for me being in this class.”

“Learning others’ experiences, journeys, passion in leadership, quality, and safety–all of the speakers were phenomenal. Having time to talk and reflect about our personal goals and life experiences meant a lot to me.”

“Everything. It was absolutely wonderful. I have never attended a live course over 3 days in which I have not lost attention or focus until this one. I really enjoyed all the simulations and the active engagement of everyone involved. The face-to-face interactions with the coaches, instructors, and my fellow students were very rewarding. The instructors were so knowledgeable and so kind. The care and attention put into making the onsite is evident.”

Onsite Summer 2025

“I enjoyed most the practical exercises – disclosures with standardized patients, difficult conversations, and self-reflection throughout.”

“I enjoyed having the opportunity to connect with and interact with my fellow cohort members and faculty inan in-person setting for a prolonged period of time. The simulation with the actors/model patients was extremely worthwhile in my opinion. I really enjoyed the field trip.”

“I enjoyed the interactions and staff that we got to meet in person! The amount of knowledge we gathered in different realms was invaluable!”

“What I liked best was the experiential nature of the onsite. Each session fully engaged me in exercises that asked (me) us to work together, reflect, and get in touch with ourselves.”

“I appreciated the talks by the various faculty members and the mentoring and leadership/communication coaching from Ed and Seb, which were both inspiring and practical. Perhaps most meaningful was the camaraderie and rich discussions with my fellow master’s students—sharing experiences, insights, and challenges created a genuine sense of community and mutual growth that made the week both enjoyable and deeply rewarding.”
